1. AGM

This year, in an attempt to persuade more members to attend,our AGM is on Thursday evening July 24^th at 5.30pm in Rochdale Town Hall. Buffet tea and hot drinks provided. Please help us make our quorum first time!  Scooters will be available on a first come first served basis.

2. Highway Code

Please find enclosed a copy of The Highway Code for Mobility Scooters. Please read and apply it to your driving.

3. Morning opening

Thank you for on the whole complying with the opening times. One or two of you are still turning up early. You do not have to accept an early booking on Ring and Ride, you can always ask for a later time slot. Might we suggest that if you are here early you go to the Café for a brew, just to give us time to get organised.

We open at 9.30am and staff are here before that time so that they can get equipment out. This is for health and safety reasons, so that we are not all falling over the scooters or each other. Thank you for your co-operation.   

4. Shopmobility Awareness Day

Thank you to The Lines family for assisting with this event.                           

5. Easter Raffle

The Easter egg raffle was won by Kay Stoker, Mrs Ashall and A N Other

6. Fundraising

The collection at Tesco, Silk Street store on 4^th and 5^th April 2008 raised a grand total of £329.07. Thanks again to the Lines Family and to Mr Hodson for their help.  We have another collection on Sat/Sun 2^nd and 3^rd August.  Helpers welcome!

7. The Shop-Mob Badge Campaign

Brand new badges available £1 each. You can still be one of the first to buy!!!

8. August Bank Holiday

9. Directories

We now have on sale in the office, 2008/9 Directory of Shopmobility Schemes only £5 each.

10. Volunteer Awards

At the recent Volunteer Awards held at Rochdale Town Hall Phil and Sue Lines were recognized with a certificate for their services to Rochdale Shopmobility. Thank you again to them and if you wish to help with our charity collections contact the office.
